The ‘Gobbler’ Glove Boxing Showcase was held Sunday, November 19, 2017 noon to 6:00 p.m. with 21 amateur  boxing bouts held at the Chino Boxing Club in Chino, CA.

Our Colton Boxing Club had two boxers competing, 10-yr old 71 pounds, Alex Bogarin, Jr. defeated Carlos Ortiz of the Compton Boxing Club. Second boxer, 12-yr old, 107 pounds Colton Boxer Eric Duran defeated 12-yr old, 107 pound Miguel Medina of Jurupa Valley Boxing Club.

In 1998, three of our Colton female boxers, Adriana Smith-Hernandez, Marilyn Saicido, and Veronica Zaldiver competed in the Women’s National Boxing Championship at the Pond in Anaheim, CA, each earning medals.  In 2016, Roxanne Borgarin, earning the 125-lb  Female So. There are three boxing clubs in Colton. All working and training to make Colton the home town of future Amateur Boxing Champions.
