Immersion Concert at The Well Church Draws Hundreds

The Well Church kicked off its fall concert, Immersion, with a personal prayer. After an introduction by worship leader Jim Gray, children took the stage and led the audience in pledges before the concert kicked off with the strum of a guitar. Proceeds from the event will benefit the church and will also help with education, according to church leaders. Adjacent to the church building is a private K–6 school, offering tuition at nearly half the price of most private schools. Currently, shared church leaders, class sizes are small—only about two students to every teacher—allowing for more one-on-one education. The Oct. 26 concert offered a variety of music to concert-goers, ranging in genre from Gospel Rock to Latin Jazz to Contemporary Christian music. Event organizers shared they expected an audience of a few hundred attendees, and shared that with the church’s plans for more events such as this in the future, they hope to see those numbers grow steadily over time. The Well Church in recent years has undergone many changes, including a name change. The Well Church began as one of two Bible colleges located in Africa; today over 160 Christian churches descended from those colleges stand in that continent. The Well is located just off the I-215 freeway in Colton. It held its first session as The Well on Easter Sunday this year.
