McDonald’s celebrated fun, food and convenience around the world by bringing back Global McDelivery Day.

This year on Global McDelivery Day, McDonald’s transformed everyday, routine moments into fun and delicious moments. McDonald’s knows that right now, there’s nothing more fun than 1990's nostalgia, so this year, they introduced the Throwback Collection – a set of fun T-shirts, bandanas, pins, socks and PopSockets featuring designs inspired by the ‘90s.

McDonald’s restaurants in Southern California helped customers turn routine moments into unforgettable memories.

“Today we celebrate McDelivery Day in true fashion -- by doubling down on the fun and food it offers our customers here in Southern California and around the world,” said Clayton Paschen III, McDonald's franchisee and association president of the local McDonald's owner operators group. “With 600 Southern California McDonald’s locations available for McDelivery and counting, we look forward to helping our customers make life’s everyday moments a little more fun, delicious and convenient.”

Global McDelivery Day began on July 19 at 10:30 a.m. local time across more than 20 markets around the world with McDonald’s delivering fun, exclusive ‘90s Throwback Collection items to customers who ordered McDelivery via Uber Eats, while supplies lasted.

After decades of delivery success in Latin America, Asia and the Middle East, McDonald’s and Uber Eats began piloting McDelivery with 200 restaurants in January of 2017. One year later, McDelivery is available in nearly 12,000 restaurants around the world through Uber Eats and various delivery partners, giving our guests the craveable, delicious McDonald’s food they love when they can't get to us.

“We’re thrilled to be celebrating the continued growth of our Uber Eats’ partnership with McDonald’s on Global McDelivery Day right here in Southern California,” said Ben Story, General Manager of UberEATS. “We’re able to leverage our speed and technology to make it even easier for McDonald’s customers to enjoy a delicious and convenient dining experience, wherever they are.”
