Voice of the People: More Signs Don’t Mean More Votes

By Mark Jolstead , Grand Terrace Resident

Our residents’ group had a total budget of $1,000 before we needed to become a formal P.A.C. Our group did not ask our friends, neighbors or businesses to help fund this awful Measure while City Hall spent thousands of dollars of our taxpayers’ dollars on expensive, glossy four-color flyers. In addition the mayor and the mayor pro tem, along with others, formed a formal P.A.C. filled with misinformation to convince us all that Grand Terrace will fail if not passed. I have faith in my fellow residents that they will see how devastating this Measure is. Don’t get discouraged by all the Yes signs because they can overspend us. Let’s do the right thing for the future of Grand Terrace. Let’s end our dependence on illegal RDA monies and not allow them to subsidize it with our paychecks. VOTE NO ON MEASURE ‘C’.
