Last season, California Baptist University set a single-season record for Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference All-Academic honorees. The Lancers did even better this year, with five RMAC All-Academic first teamers and five more honor roll members on Monday.

Those 10 are two more than the previous program record of eight set last year, with Christian Britton also bringing in the conference's top honor - the Academic Athlete of the Year. It is the third year out of the last five CBU has claimed that top award, with Josh Hanson winning it twice from 2014 to 2015.

Britton, a sophomore business major, was joined on the first team by Jerome Heidrich (psychology), Zach Parry (physical therapy), Brandon Schuster (biomedical engineering) and Bernardo Valentim (business administration).

Adrien Deloffre (business administration), Sakeri Holter (political science), Robert Jordan (photo journalism), Alexis Ohmar (piano performance) and Tanner Shore (international business) all made the honor roll.

There were many multiple all-academic honorees, with Valentim notching his third, while Ohmar, Shore and Deloffre made it for the second year in a row, as well.

First-team selections were voted on by the conference's sports information directors. To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must carry a 3.30 cumulative grade point average and must have been an active student at the institution for at least two consecutive semesters or three consecutive quarters.
