Pumpkin Carving in Green Pastures

The motto at Johnny's Nursery is "It's a beautiful day at Johnny's Nursery," which was proven true at a recent event. Johnny’s 2nd Annual Pumpkin Carving was a bright, festive occasion for families to gather and get in the spirit of October. Johnny’s Nursery featured many plants and even succulents at great prices. Pumpkins were readily available for carving and refreshments were provided as well. The nursery for various plants was decorated with pumpkins and hay bushels that set the ambiance for a classic pumpkin patch. Children munched on chips and candy and got creative in designing their pumpkins. Some dressed in their costumes as fairies, princesses, and even a pumpkin. There was a wide table that allowed many kids of all ages to gather and carve together. Including the pumpkin carving, Johnny’s Nursery also had three rescued dogs that dutifully watched over the event, a vintage thrift store, and a variety of plants for sale. Tressa, Johnny’s wife, said “We love to host this pumpkin carving event because so many families can enjoy their time with nature and get some fresh air.” Tressa, Lynda, Johnny and Jonathin hosted the event and helpfully assisted the children with their pumpkin carving. Elaine Underwood said, “I really enjoy the fact that I can spend time with my daughter and husband at this event, everyone is so friendly.” Johnny’s Nursery engaged many locals and even had a photo session for the families on hay and with their carved pumpkins. It was a fun-filled event for children to get their hands covered in pumpkin seeds and enjoy their Saturday with their families.
