Members of the Riverside Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and its highly regarded Kappa League youth mentoring program worshiped at A.K. Quinn AME Church in Moreno Valley on Sunday, Oct. 25. Reverend Theodore Payne IV, who is also a member of the Fraternity, warmly acknowledged his brothers and other guests before delivering an uplifting and powerful sermon. “We’re now at a point in the mentoring program, where we are building the foundation and culture of the Riverside Kappa League,” says Martez Nix, Guide Right Director of the Chapter. “Part of the development process requires us to unite the young men in the form of brotherhood, while helping them to develop strong self-identities and important life skills.” Youths Matthew Isaac, Cameron Allen and Joshua Hudson represented their Kappa League peers at the AME Church service. The three young men, who are a part of the Chapter’s founding League membership, have accepted the challenge of building a strong quality program. The Riverside Kappa League is still accepting applications from college-bound males between the ages of fourteen and seventeen.
