The City of Moreno Valley is pleased to announce the appointment of Brian Mohan as the new City Manager/Executive Director, succeeding the recently retired Mike Lee. Mohan officially took the helm on January 8. In this role, he will be responsible for the efficient management of all City business.

"We are excited to have Brian step into this critical role. His background in municipal finance and his proven track record of leadership will be invaluable as we navigate the challenges and opportunities ahead," noted Mayor Ulises Cabrera. "Brian's vision aligns perfectly with our goals for a thriving, inclusive Moreno Valley. Having worked closely with Brian since my first days on the council, I have seen firsthand his dedication and expertise. I look forward to continuing our partnership and leading our city forward together in this new capacity."

Mohan brings over two decades of experience in leadership, municipal finance and governance to his new role. Before his tenure with Moreno Valley, he served over 10 years with the City of Rialto and more than six years with the San Bernardino County Retirement Association (SBCERA).

In his most recent position in Moreno Valley, Mohan served as the Assistant City Manager (Administration) after holding the Chief Financial Officer/City Treasurer role.

"I am deeply grateful for this opportunity to serve as City Manager for Moreno Valley, and I am excited to continue to work alongside the community and our dedicated team to foster growth and innovation,” said Mohan. “Together, we will strive to continue making Moreno Valley a model of progress and prosperity."

Mohan holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. He aims to build upon existing and future innovative and educational initiatives to forge long-lasting relationships that will propel the City of Moreno Valley forward.
