On Wednesday, March 15, San Bernardino County Fifth District Supervisor Joe Baca Jr held this year's SheRoes of the 5th District event at the Government Center in San Bernardino. Nominees consisted of talented women who represent and serve those in their communities and were hand selected by Supervisor Joe Baca Jr.

Christina Gaitan, Coordinator of the Colton Chamber of Commerce, was one of the Supervisor Baca's SheRoes nominees and was awarded a Certificate of Recognition for her dedication in impacting her community with her community service.

A lifelong resident of the City of Colton, Gaitan gives back to the community by volunteering in diverse collaborations with various non-profit organizations and corporations such as Faith Hope & Change, The Aristrong, The Colton Lion's Club, The Royal Gentz, etc.

"My passion is to advocate and fundraise for those that need it the most," Christina said. "I was raised by a strong woman with a golden heart that demonstrated selflessness."

Christina would like to thank her family, friends, the Colton Chamber of Commerce Board members, volunteers, associates, and the community for all their support, time, mentorship, and motivation.

Additionally, in the Chamber Office, there are display shelves filled with recognition, appreciation, and awards from various entities, such as the California State Senate, California Legislator offices, and Non-Profits organizations to name a few. A congratulation is for Christina for all that she does in the community.

All nominees had a meet and greet with the Supervisor and were gifted roses, photos were taken, certificates were given, and a thank you speech video was recorded by each nominee that will feature on Supervisor Baca's YouTube channel by the end of this month.
