Two-time CSUSB alumnus Sedrick Spencer '91, '96 earned his M.A. and subsequently joined a fellowship at CSUSB. Currently serving as the vice president of government relations at Paramount Global, he prefers not to define himself solely by his title. Instead, he focuses on being in the room and representing voices of color.

Spencer reflects on his status as one of the 40 percent of men who have graduated from a university system, recognizing that life holds more significance than just one's background.

At CSUSB, students are encouraged to participate in a supportive environment to forward their success. CSUSB values a collaborative spirit where people of all backgrounds can come together, share ideas, experience a sense of belonging and collectively work towards lifelong goals.

Celebrate Black History Month at CSUSB, where we uplift the achievements and contributions of the African American community while honoring past and current trailblazers.
