GRAND TERRACE>> With a wooden cross on his shoulder, Wes Mauch, a 68-year-old man, has traveled to 770 cities and towns in California to spread the gospel, including Grand Terrace. On Monday, Dec. 5, Mauch made his third visit to the City of Grand Terrace where he proudly carries the cross he built and said he will happily speak to anyone about Jesus and His love and grace. Mauch said on June 10, 2010, Jesus spoke to him and asked him to make the cross and to spread the gospel throughout California. Throughout the last 6 and half years, Mauch said he and the Holy Spirt have had the privilege and honor to lead 1,535 to the Lord. Mauch said he has walked 16,630 miles and has gone many nights of only resting to continue his mission of spreading the gospel. “I know that its the truth,” Mauch said of the gospel. “The gospel is Jesus Christ, son of God who died for you on the cross and there he shed his precious blood so you could be forgiven of all your sin, guilt and condemnation.” He continued, “Grace is something we don't do, its already been done for us and He gives us the power. All we have to have is faith to believe for His glory, praise and honor.” Mauch attends the Upper Room Ministries in Banning, California and said he will continue to spread the gospel throughout California.
