SAN BERNARDINO >> The Humane Society of San Bernardino Valley (HSSBV) is accepting nominations for the 2016 Pet Hero Awards. Members of the community are encouraged to nominate an animal that has helped them or their family, or a member or members of the community through a difficult time, a life-threatening situation, or another special way that made a difference. Pet Heroes will be presented with an award during the HSSBV 2016 Walk for the Animals on Saturday, May 21, at San Manuel Stadium (home of the Inland Empire 66ers). The Walk for the Animals begins at 8 a.m., with the Pet Hero Awards Recognition at 10:15 a.m. Nomination forms can be picked up at the HSSBV (374 W Orange Show Road, San Bernardino), or online www.hssbv.org. All nominations are welcome, as there are many different ways a pet can be a hero to you. Nominations will be accepted now through April 25th.
