The Inland Master Chorale begins their 2013–14 season with Songs of Innocence, accompanied by a chamber orchestra, on Oct. 26 and 27 at the First United Methodist Church located at One East Olive Avenue in Redlands. Citrus Valley High School’s advanced women’s choir, Voix Enchantée, joins the Chorale on the featured work, John Rutter’s “Mass of the Children.” Soloists are Susan Meinders, soprano and Mischa Tacchia, bass. Under the direction of Kimberly Taylor, Voix Enchantée also presents four selections including “Autumn Leaves” and “Boy Blue.” Additional Chorale pieces include “Prayer for the Children,” “Animal Crackers” and “Five Nursery Rhymes.” Under the direction of Roger W. Duffer and associate director Melva Morrison, the 60-member Chorale is in its 34th year of performance. The Chorale season continues on December 14 and 15 with Season of Light, offering music from a variety of holiday traditions. On March 8 and 9, 2014 the Chorale presents an emotional musical journey with Music of Love & Loss. The season finale is Great American Songbook featuring American popular music from the mid-20th century, principally from Broadway theater and Hollywood films. Individual concert tickets are $18 in advance, $20 at the door and $10 for student/child. Season tickets are offered at $65 for adults, $30 for student/child. Concerts begin at 8 p.m. on Saturday and 3 p.m. on Sunday. Children under five are not admitted. Order tickets online at www.inlandmasterchorale.org or call 909-798-4462.
