Redlands youth baseball team, The Redlands Blue Bombers, celebrated their undefeated fall season before the beginning of the new year at Johnny's Tacos. The all boys team, under the leadership of Chuck Cole, who coached the nine 7 year olds and three 8 year olds, were each awarded a trophy to commemorate their efforts this season. The team then presented Cole with a trophy of his own as well as Team Mom Michelle Cole with a home plate-shaped plaque. "The boys faced all challengers with a competitive spirit and exceptional sportsmanship," said Thom Salisbury, whose grandson, Cody Lemler, played on the team. The Redlands Blue Bombers are one of 15 youth teams that make up the Redlands Baseball/Softball for Youth sports program. The program is currently taking registrations for the spring season at www.rby.org.
