ALL>> With a “Roaring ‘20s” theme, cocktails and dancing, the community is invited to attend The Unforgettables Foundation Bachelor Auction Saturday, Nov. 19. The Unforgettables Bachelor Auction will allow bidders to bid on some of the community’s most eligible bachelors with ages ranging from 23-73 years old. The funds will go toward the foundation as well as the Businesswoman’s Association of San Bernardino County. Registration for the auction will start at 6 p.m. and the event will start at 7 p.m. at the Speakeasy on State in Redlands. Participants are encouraged to dress up to match the theme, as they enjoy cocktails, dancing and bidding on the bachelors. Guest emcees and hosts include local politicians Pat Gilbreath of Redlands, Acquinetta Warren of Fontana, Penny Lilburn of Highland, Denise Hoyt of Yucaipa and Josie Gonzales of San Bernardino. Tickets are on sale now at Eventbrite.com or on the Unforgettables website for $45 for general admission and $80 for couple’s general admission. The event is chaired by The Unforgettables Foundation and BASBC Board Member Christine Beamer and Co-Chair and TUF Board Candidate Maryellen Shaw, both of Yucaipa. The planning committee of 16 female volunteers is also assisted by Vice Chairs Clarisa Kirk, Michelle Kimbro, Leslie Jimenez, Shelley Burnach and Clarisse Paul and TUF staff Jennifer Zambrano and Timothy Evans. “We are presenting a wonderful “woman’s night out” for girlfriends to come together to get a friend a great date package for the holidays," Beamer said. "All of this is about raising money for burial funds for families when a child has died and youth scholarships." Evans adds, “great fun for great causes.” With a passion for helping others, The Unforgettables Foundation is a nonprofit organization that works to help families who go through the pain of a child’s death. Founded by Evans in 1999, Evans assisted families with the many crises surrounding the death of a child including the financial burdens experienced by families with limited resources. With the assistance of the Inland Empire educators, medical professionals, social workers and morticians, Evans created The Unforgettables Foundation. The foundation’s mission is to assist low-income families by providing a dignified, appropriate burial for their children who have died, empower communities to memorialize children who have died and to educate parents and children’s caregivers to confront, control and conquer the primary risks to children’s health and wholeness. The foundation has provided assistance to families throughout Riverside, San Bernardino and Orange Counties and since the creation of the Foundation in 2001, more than 3,500 families have been assisted in more than 80 cities in Southern California. The Unforgettables Foundation is operated almost entirely by volunteers and hosts many events throughout the year to help raise funds. For more information, call Jennifer Zambrano at (909)855-3130.
