Forbes magazine has once again named Cal State San Bernardino among the top universities in the nation.

Now in its 10th year, the Forbes ranking lists the top 660 colleges and universities in the country, measuring the top 20 percent of all U.S. undergraduate institutions.

“To receive this recognition as being among the top universities in the nation reflects the great work and dedication of our faculty, staff and administrators who provide an outstanding innovative learning experience that not only educates our students, many of whom are the first in their families to attend college, but challenges them to excel in their studies and after they graduate,” said CSUSB President Tomás D. Morales.

Forbes listed CSUSB 97th among its top institutions in the West, 192nd in its Public Colleges list, 208th in its America’s Best Value Colleges list, and 536 in its Top Colleges list.

The Forbes Top Colleges ranking focuses on the direct benefits a college or university provides its students. The ranking looks at variables such as alumni salary, graduation rate and student satisfaction.

To calculate the list, Forbes used the five general categories: post-graduate success (35 percent), paying back student loan debt (20 percent), student college experience (20 percent), graduation rates (12.5 percent) and academic success (12.5 percent).

The Forbes ranking appears in its America’s Top Colleges webpage at https://www.forbes.com/top-colleges/#412ea9131987.
