Dignity Health Welcomes Gene Gutierrez IV as Chief Financial Officer

Dignity Health is pleased to announce the appointment of Gene Gutierrez IV, CPA as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Community Hospital of San Bernardino (CHSB) and St. Bernardine Medical Center (SBMC), effective Monday, June 23.

Gutierrez will be responsible for financial planning, cash flow management, and fostering financial collaboration and compliance between the two San Bernardino County hospitals.

"We are thrilled to welcome Gene to our team," said June Collison, Hospital President, CHSB. "His extensive experience and proven leadership in healthcare finance will be invaluable as we continue to enhance patient care, drive growth, and ensure the financial stability of our hospitals," remarked Doug Kleam, Hospital President, SBMC.

Gutierrez brings over 25 years of experience in corporate finance, administration, and capital management to Dignity Health. He most recently served as CFO for Providence St. Joseph Health. His expertise includes strategic planning, cost savings initiatives, revenue cycle management, and capital project oversight. Gutierrez holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting from University of San Diego.
