There will be no performance on Friday, July 4. Tickets are available online at www.boxoffice.lifehousetheater.com. Advance ticket prices are $14 or $18 for adults and $7 or $9 for children ages 3-11 (no children under 3 are admitted) and may be purchased over the phone with a Visa or MasterCard by calling (909) 335-3037 (a $3 convenience fee is added to all phone orders). Tickets may also be purchased in person at the box office, which is open Fridays from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and one hour prior to performance times on the weekends. Tickets are $1 more the day of the performance. Group rates are available for groups of ten or more. Guests are encouraged to reserve seats early as performances do sell out. “Treasure Island” is written by LifeHouse founder and president Wayne R. Scott with music and lyrics by Scott and renowned film and stage composers Nolan and Jason Livesay, who most recently completed work on the film “X-Men: Days of Future Past." Routinely hailed by modern critics as literature’s greatest adventure tale, this action-packed family musical contains all the memorable elements of the novel and a few added surprise twists. Intrigue combines with double crosses, a treasure chest, swashbuckling sword fights, and the unraveling of mysterious secrets to make this an unforgettable theater experience for all ages. “We are thrilled that audiences have requested the return of this exciting production, which has been among our most critically acclaimed,” comments Scott. “The choreography combines with impressive sword fighting and stage combat to make this fun musical a delightful swashbuckler for the whole family.” The cast of veteran Inland Empire LifeHouse storytellers features the talents of Duane Crother as Long John Silver and Andrew Flory as Jim Hawkins. Also featured are Rich Lampe as Dr. Livesay, Don Johnson as Squire Trelawney, Jennifer DeWitt as Jim’s Mother, Beth Johnson as Auntie Hawkins, Michael Burns as Captain Smollett, Julie Carlson as Calico Kate, Jeremy Yeo as Black Dog, J. Wiley as Israel Hands, Emily Peterson as Bonnie Bones, Brad Roseborough as Captain Flint and Ben Baker as Ben Gunn. The award-winning production staff of “Treasure Island” includes director Jeff DeWitt, choreographer Emilie Helvey, music director Amy Muthersbaugh, costume designer Cristy Conrad and set designer Tim Mahoney. Stage combat has been created by lighting designer Zach Simons and David Christison. The theater is located at 1135 N. Church St. in Redlands, next to the Redlands Christian School. Free parking is available in back of the theater.

A residence shows visible damage from flooding, mud and debris following severe winter storms that began Dec. 23, which brought heavy rain and debris flows to mountain and high desert communities across San Bernardino County. This week, the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors approved recovery-related fee waivers to help eligible property owners repair and rebuild as response and long-term recovery efforts continue.
