The Inland Master Chorale is looking for experienced singers to join the 60-member chorus based in Redlands. Those interested are encouraged attend open rehearsals on August 20 and 27 at 7:00 pm in the Frederick Lowe Recital Hall at University of Redlands, 1200 E. Colton Avenue, Redlands.

“Open rehearsals give newcomers an opportunity to try us out before making a commitment,” explained Chorale spokesperson Wendy Williams.  “Guests sing along with current members rehearsing music for the first concert to get a feel for the expected level of musicianship as well as the practice routine.”

Auditions are done by appointment following the open rehearsal period, administered by Artistic Director, Dr. Joseph Modica, and Assistant Director, Mrs. Anna DeLeon.  Prospective members are evaluated on sight-reading, tonal memory and the performance of a musical piece selected by the singer.  More information is available at www.inlandmasterchorale.org

Modica is Interim Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and Director of the School of Music.  DeLeon is Director of Choirs at Grand Terrace High School.

The Chorale’s 2019-20 season features Songs of the Underground Railroad on October 19-20; Home for the Holidays on December 14-15; Vox Populi: Songs of Our World on March 21-22; and Carmina Burana on May 17.
