REDLANDS>> Redlands residents and community members can dig out their dancing shoes and join Salsa dance classes that will be taught at the Redlands Community Center on Mondays beginning Sept. 12 through Oct. 3. Joe Sidor, dance instructor for the evenings of the event, is offering his years of experience by teaching the Salsa dancing class in which he has previously taught before. In a previous City News Group article, Sidor said he has been dancing for the last 30 years and has been teaching others to dance for the past seven years. “When people join my class, I try and instill upon them the three D’s: desire, dedication and daring," he said in a previous article. "A dancer must possess these qualities in order learn a dance.” Classes will run from 7 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. The registration fee is $5 per person and partners are not required. Because space is limited, the center encourages those who want to participate to sign up as soon as possible at the Redlands Community Center, or online at www.cityofredlands.org/recreation. All classes are held at the Redlands Community Center multipurpose room. The Redlands Community Center is located at 111 W. Lugonia Ave. For more information about this class, or other classes at the Redlands Community Center, please call (909) 798-7572 or e-mail RecreationStaff@cityofredlands.org.
