On Sunday, November 3, 2019, we will meet Kathleen Scoggin, when she appears as demonstrator/lecturer at the monthly meeting of the Loma Linda Cultural Arts Association.  Kathleen says this about her approach to art: “I am an abstract artist working in watercolor, acrylic and mixed media.  My paintings are organic in nature, full of texture and line.”

The accompanying illustration (“Autumnal Glory”) demonstrates her power to sharpen the sight and perception of the viewer, so as to better appreciate the varied earth and animal forms that are all around us.  The LLCAA anticipates a gain of learning and enjoyment from her presentation.

Ms. Scoggin left a career in institutional dietetics for a university-level study of fine arts, design and art history in the Northwest, an education she has continued through participation in workshops with nationally-recognized artists.  Juried shows in Oregon and California have recognized her work with multiple awards. She is presently active in the Coachella/Palm Springs art world, where she serves as board member and instructor in Watermedia workshops.

Loma Linda Cultural Art Association meetings take place in the Loma Linda Senior Center, located at the southeast corner of the LL civic complex, which fronts on Barton Road, at 25541.  We cordially invite the public to join us on Sunday, November 3, from 2pm until 4pm. We request a $5.00 donation from non-LLCAA members.  There is no cost to LLU students.
