The San Bernardino County Library is thrilled to announce that the Ani-Makerspace at the Fontana Lewis Library & Technology Center is continually offering a full schedule of hands-on creative classes in partnership with Garner Holt Education Through Imagination, the global leader in animatronics and themed entertainment.

The County Library’s Ani-Makerspace invites children, teens, and families to explore the world of animation, robotics and storytelling through guided workshops and open lab sessions. From designing simple animatronic figures to experimenting with stop-motion, coding, and art, participants can experience the blend of imagination and technology that drives professional creators in the entertainment industry.

“This space brings innovation to life,” said County Librarian Melanie Orosco. “Through our collaboration with Garner Holt Education Through Imagination, the Ani-Makerspace empowers youth as well as adults to create, explore, and dream big — right here in their own community library.”

Garner Holt Education Through Imagination, based in Redlands, is the world’s leading producer of animatronic figures for theme parks, museums and attractions worldwide. The partnership brings authentic industry expertise to the classroom, offering students a rare opportunity to learn the creative process behind world-class design.

“We’re proud to help make creativity accessible,” said Garner Holt Education Through Imagination Executive Vice President of Business Development Germaine Garcia-Kaufman. “The Ani-Makerspace shows that art, technology and imagination belong together — and that innovation can start anywhere.”

Classes at the Fontana Lewis Library’s Ani-Makerspace are available now and open to ages 8 years old up to adults, with registration required. Participants can sign up for introductory animation workshops, robotics sessions and design labs designed to ignite curiosity and build STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) skills. Wednesday classes are exclusively for teens ages 12–17, while Saturday classes are reserved for adults ages 18 and older.

For updated class schedules and registration information, visit the Garner Holt Ani-Makerspace – Library’s webpage and select the “Programs” tab, contact the Fontana Lewis Library and Technology Center at 909-574-4500 or visit the Fontana Lewis Library & Technology Center at 8437 Sierra Ave. in Fontana.
