Education Medal of Honor and

Honorees of the San Bernardino County Education Medal of Honor and Distinguished Service Award will be recognized at the spring meeting of the San Bernardino County School Boards Association (SBCSBA) on Thursday, April 28.

The Spring Awards ceremony will be hosted virtually as a YouTube Premiere.

The free event is open to the public and begins at 5:30 p.m. with student performances on the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools Communications (SBCSS) YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/SBCSS1/featured).

At the conclusion of the broadcast, the video will be made available on the SB County Schools YouTube channel for viewing at any time.

DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD:

This annual award recognizes individuals for exceptional leadership and significant contributions to public education in the county. Criteria for nominations include how individuals have improved the quality of education in the county, and through their efforts, have achieved a positive, ongoing impact on significant segments of public education within a school district or throughout the county or region. This year, two individuals will be honored with a Distinguished Service Award.

- Adrienne Shepherd-Myles Career Technical Education Program Manager at Desert/Mountain SELPA

EDUCATION MEDAL OF HONOR:

This prestigious achievement honors outstanding contributions to public education by volunteers and service groups, business and government partners, educators, and alumni. There are six categories for the Medal of Honor awards, and nominations include ways in which an individual or organization makes an impact or lasting contribution, serves as a positive role model, and creates an awareness and support for public education in communities across San Bernardino County.
