Hard Core Fitness Inspires Community to Workout

When thinking about The Colton Chamber of Commerce, people think we support only Colton businesses. However, we support all businesses that are in compliance with their City. The Chamber has a few members that are outside the county, as well as outside The City of Colton.

The Chamber’s newest member is Hard Core Fitness located in San Bernardino. This family-owned business started in 2015. When owner Elysia Barajas was diagnosed with Lipedema at the age of 22, she was told her mobility and weight would be a struggle to manage for the rest of her entire life. The only suggestion provided was experimental medication. Left feeling hopeless and fearful, she was determined to not let her diagnosis be the reason she could not live a full and healthy life.

Within a small group of women, she found hope. Like her, these women were fighting battles that the world was unaware of.  Through this group of women and their exercise class, Elysia was able to manage her disease. Now, she uses exercise and nutrition to help others.

“I get inspired when I meet other women who walk into Hard Core Fitness and ask me for help," said Elysia. "They can’t bear the thought of walking into the “Big Boxed” gym to feel judged and scared. Being a safe space motivates them to reach their fitness/health goals.”

As a resident of San Bernardino, Elysia wanted to be part of The Colton Chamber of Commerce to reach out to Colton residents and introduce them to Hard Core Fitness community workout center.  Hard Core Fitness currently offers the first class at no cost and is running a 90-day unlimited membership for $120.00. This allows members to save money for the holidays and commit to a program that is fun and motivating. The certified instructors are incredibly inspiring, motivated, and dedicated to giving you the best workout experience you can have. Modifications are provided to beginners, while also challenging advanced members.  No cost wellness evaluations are provided to assist with meal plans and supplements support. Hard Core Fitness creates a home environment where everyone knows each other’s name, makes friends, and helps everyone heal from past negative fitness experiences.

If you would like any more information, you can contact Elysia at 909-558-8807 or hardcorefitsb@gmail.com.  Hard Core Fitness is located at 908 E Highland Ave, San Bernardino, CA 92404. You can check out their website at https://hardcorefit.weebly.com/.
