EMWD Empowers Customers to be More Efficient

Every year, as temperatures climb and yards begin to brown, many local residents face the same dilemma: how to keep their landscape looking great without having their water bills soar.

Thankfully, Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD) has now made it even easier for you to save water while beautifying your outdoor space.

This month, EMWD launched its newly redesigned Landscapes for Living website and application portal. The updated site provides a streamlined platform to enhance the user experience, making it even easier for residents to access water-saving resources.

More than half of the water used in EMWD’s service area is for outdoor irrigation. With the redesigned Landscapes for Living website, customers can access rebates, educational resources, and much more with greater ease and convenience. By doing so, they will be empowered to be more efficient with their water use – and can save money in the process.

Some of the upgraded features include:

  • User-Friendly Portal: The new application portal features an intuitive process that simplifies applying for landscape consultations, irrigation controller installations, sprinkler upgrades, and landscape tune ups (as applicable).
  • Enhanced Accessibility: Improved mobile compatibility ensures that users can access the site from any device, at any time.
  • Comprehensive Resources: Customers can explore a wide range of water-saving tips, landscape design examples, and detailed program information.
  • Program Applications: The new portal allows for quick and easy submission of rebate applications, with real-time updates on application status.

“We are thrilled to introduce this new platform to our customers,” said Board President Stephen Corona. “Our goal is to make it as simple as possible for residents to participate in the Landscapes for Living Program and take advantage of the many benefits it offers. This new website is a significant step forward in achieving that goal.”

The Landscapes for Living Program is a cornerstone of EMWD’s commitment to promoting water use efficiency and sustainability. The award-winning program also offers a variety of services, including free installation of water-saving equipment, step-by-step landscaping guidance, and design ideas.

Residents are encouraged to visit the new Landscapes for Living website to explore the program’s offerings and start their journey towards a more water-efficient landscape.
