A heat alert for cool center activation has been triggered in Moreno Valley. With temperatures expected to remain above 100 degrees for the next five days in most Riverside County cities, individuals susceptible to heat, such as the elderly and young children are encouraged to locate a cool center if an air conditioned home is unavailable. The designated cool centers in Moreno Valley are located at the following locations: - The Moreno Valley Senior Center, 25075 Fir Ave. in Moreno Valley. Call 951-413-3430 for more information, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. - The Moreno Valley Library, 25480 Alessandro Blvd. in Moreno Valley. Call 951-413-3880 for more information, Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday noon to 5 p.m. People with the following symptoms should try to remain in a cool place and drink water to prevent dehydration: headache, dizziness, weakness or muscle pains, and nausea or vomiting.
