Arrowhead Regional Medical Center’s Medical Laboratory Science Program has been awarded the Certificate of Accreditation from the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS).

The NAACLS is the premier agency for international accreditation and approval of educational programs in the clinical laboratory sciences and related health care disciplines. Accreditation is only awarded after an extensive process of external peer and committee review, self-study review submission, and an on-site visit to the program. The NAACLS Accreditation process is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

The NAACLS is committed to awarding accreditation to educational programs with high-quality standards. What’s more, medical laboratories and other employers preferentially seek graduates of NAACLS programs to ensure quality, value, innovation, and safety for health care consumers.

The Medical Laboratory Science Program was accredited for the maximum eligibility of 10 years and will continue until April 30, 2031.

“Arrowhead Regional Medical Center’s Medical Laboratory Science Program is proud to have been awarded this prestigious accreditation,” said Hospital Director, William Gilbert. “NAACLS accreditation will empower us to continue to provide an exceptional learning environment for our students, so they can perform with a high degree of accuracy, reliability, and professionalism in delivering high-quality, compassionate health care to their community.”
