The Vanguard Art Gallery is pleased to announce its grand opening in their new location, at the Stoneridge Shopping Center, in Moreno Valley. The day's festivities will kick off at noon, May 17, 2014 with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The event will run until 5 p.m. World-renowned artist, Charles Bibbs, is the featured artist. His artwork will be available for purchase. The Vanguard Art Gallery will also be showcasing the artwork of emerging artists, such as Reiko, Rick Archer, Jeni Bate, Peter Carter, Crystal Lauren, Alan Sponholtz, and Debby Johnson. This will also mark the initial showing of the artist bowls submitted for the Empty Bowl Project. The sale of these bowls in June will provide money to help the homeless. There will be entertainment provided throughout the day with local musicians participating. Performers will include: The Bear Valley Elementary Children's Choir, Ron & Christopher Johnson along with Paul Holbach, Projekt Rehab, Travis Caputo, Blakely & Jimenez, and Delon Anderson. In addition there will be a book signing by local authors. The writers on hand include Kathy Finfrock, author of House of Redemption (horror/thriller), Beth Winokur, author of Sunshine in Darkness (paranormal) and The Willing Stone (book one in the Adventures of Abby and Sofia Series), Eric von Mizener, author of 30 Points of Love (inspirational/self-help), Yvonne Ray, author of Ethan (book one of the Sinclaire family redemption series/paranormal) and Debby Johnson, author of Suburbia and other signposts pointing west (poetry). The public is invited to attend this free event.
