Chase Nacsin Signs Letter of Intent

SAN BERNARDINO>> San Bernardino Valley College Women’s Basketball sophomore guard Chase Nacsin has officially signed a letter of intent with La Sierra University in Riverside, California. Nacsin participated in 24 games for SBVC in 2015-16, playing a role in all 16 wins. Her 16 three-pointers on the season all came in key moments, including the game at home versus College of the Desert where her 3-pointer right before halftime put the game out of reach. "I feel pretty excited," Nacsin said. "I'm looking forward to my last two seasonS of college basketball here. I really like my team and we get a long really good. I'll have to get used to the transfer lifestyle from going to a community college to a university but I'm excited." Nacsin said she will be majoring in exercise science at La Sierra University and would like to thank those who have suppported her for the last few years and who will continue to support her. Women's Basketball collected the No. 10 seed in the SoCal Regionals finishing the regular season with a 16-8 overall record and an 8-2 conference record, wrapping up the regular season winning 10 of their final 12 games. SBVC collected its 10th Women's Basketball Foothill Conference title overall in the 2015-16 season and 8th Championship in nine years. La Sierra University is located in Riverside, California, which is about 20 miles southwest of San Bernardino Valley College. The La Sierra Golden Eagles play in the Alumni Pavilion and the team is coached by 2nd year head coach, Brianne Carroll. In the 2015-16 season, the Golden Eagles went 2-6 in conference play finishing 4th, with an overall record of 6-19. La Sierra is in the California Pacific Conference of the NAIA.
