With the summer heat finally behind us, fall is the perfect season to refresh our homes, our neighborhoods, and our community. Whether it’s clearing out the garage, tidying up the yard, or finally tackling that pile of old, outdated electronics, we’ve lined up a couple of free events to help make your fall cleaning a little easier.
On Saturday, October 11, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., join us for Free Dump Day at the Waste Management Transfer Station on Indian Street. Bring those bulky items that have been taking up too much space, and we’ll help to handle their disposal.
Then, on Saturday, October 25, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., swing by the City Corporate Yard on Perris Boulevard for our Household Hazardous Waste and Electronic Waste Collection Event. It’s a safe and responsible way to get rid of old paint, batteries, chemicals, or outdated TVs and computers. Keeping these items out of landfills is a simple but powerful way we can help to protect our environment.
While you’re thinking about your yard, don’t forget that Moreno Valley residents also have access to free mulch through our weekday Mulch Program. Mulch is available Monday through Saturday, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the City Yard on Perris Boulevard. Just bring your own bags, buckets, and shovels, and take as much as you need. And yes, multiple trips are allowed. It’s a great way to give back to your garden while supporting the “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” philosophy that keeps Moreno Valley beautiful.
These events aren’t just about clearing clutter; they’re about keeping Moreno Valley clean, safe, and sustainable. When we all pitch in, even small actions add up to a big impact on the place we call home.
I encourage you to take part, spread the word, and let’s welcome fall with a fresh start for our homes and for our community.
