Farmers Insurance Navigating the Battle for Adequate Coverage

By Homeowners and California Fair Plan (CFP), Knowing the Difference in Policies

YOUR LARGEST INVESTMENT DESERVES ATTENTION. Home insurance provides you with the means to repair or even rebuild your home in case of damages or even loss due to a covered event (subject to your coverage limits). At Farmers, there are various home insurance options including: Dwelling and other Structures (covers damage to your home and other structures on your property by fire, wind, and other unexpected events), Personal Property (Covers household contents and personal belongings), Loss of Use (Covers additional living expenses for a limited time if a covered loss makes your home inhabitable), Medical Payments to others, and Personal Liability (Covers when you’re legally responsible for someone’s bodily injury or property damage resulting from an accident, by you or qualified household members and acts of your pets). However, as a final resource, California Fair Plan (CFP) is available to California residents and businesses in urban and rural areas, who cannot obtain insurance through a regular insurance company. A well-insured home offers greater peace of mind. Choose the home insurance coverage you deserve from an agent who can help you understand your options here at our Grand Terrace office.

The following chart summarizes some of the significant differences between the coverage provided by CFP’s basic dwelling policy and the coverage provided by the more comprehensive California Homeowners (HO-3) policy. THIS CHART IS NOT ALL-INCLUSIVE, THEREFORE ADDITIONAL COVERAGES MAY BE OFFERED.
