GRAND TERRACE>> The City of Grand Terrace’s Municipal Investment In Development to Achieve Success program kicked off its first ground breaking ceremony of 2017 on Thursday, March 23 with a ceremony marking the start of construction of the new Grand Terrace Emergency Animal Clinic. The new clinic will be located on the corner of Michigan and Commerce Way. The existing facility on 12022 Lacross Ave will be demolished in October to make way for the $92,000,000 I-215 Interchange project. Mayor of Grand Terrace Darcy McNaboe was on hand and shared that the community is relieved to know the Emergency Animal Clinic will remain in Grand Terrace and is delighted with the new location. "The Animal Emergency Clinic has provided care to so many clients over the years, most times that care is provided following a traumatic event," McNaboe said. "Many people in the region know Grand Terrace because of the care they have received for their pets at the clinic," said Mayor Darcy McNaboe. "I am thrilled that they are building the new facility and will continue to provide care to the region from the City of Grand Terrace." Dr. Terry McDuffee stated that he was very pleased to continue his more than 30 years of service to local and regional pet owners. The new building will house a 7,500 square foot clinic. The building will also contain an additional 2,500 square feet of available commercial retail space. The clinic is expected to open in September 2017. The Emergency Animal Clinic is another example of the $500,000,000 of investment pouring into Grand Terrace (2010-2022).
