MORENO VALLEY>> Students in the MoVal French Club recently returned from a chilling but thrilling week-long excursion to Québec, Canada’s French-speaking province. The club had the opportunity to walk along the Montmorency Falls, or Chutes Montmorency. The waterfall is a large waterfall on the Montmorency River in Quebec. The falls are located on the boundary between the borough of Beauport and Boischatel, about 7.5 mi from the heart of Quebec City. The area surrounding the falls is protected within the Montmorency Falls Park and the club had the chance to walk on a footbridge over the waterfall. “We had snow, snow, snow and very cold weather,” said French teacher Frauke Ramin. “It was wonderful.” The group also met many other young travelers from around the world by staying at a hostel. Members of the club were able to practice and use their French for an entire week for a language-strengthening trip.
