The Manufacturers’ Council of the Inland Empire (MCIE) announced that Titan Gilroy of TITANS of CNC will speak at the 7th Annual Manufacturers’ Summit in February. Gilroy will present on engaging the next generation of manufacturers.

TITANS of CNC is an aerospace machine shop in Rocklin, California. Titan founded the company in 2005, and it has since become a premiere manufacturing company in Northern California because of the guaranteed quality and ingenuity of his products.

His passion for the manufacturing community lead him to create the TITANS of CNC Academy. “Titan has an inspirational story to tell,” said Debbie Smith, Event Chair. “He is working to promote manufacturing to young people as well as the ‘Made in America’ mantra.” Titan frequently speaks at schools to educate students on the opportunities in manufacturing careers and to offer students the chance to learn valuable skills.

His experience, passion for the manufacturing industry, and success prompted MCIE to invite him as speaker for the 2018 Summit. “We Have the Tools We Need to Rise to Manufacturing Greatness,” said Titan when asked about his reason for attending the event. “We will engage our youth, lift up our shops, and raise our collective skill level. In 2018, we will compete together!”

The Manufacturers’ Summit, to be held on February 15th at the Ontario Convention Center, will feature additional experts speaking on their fields. Carolyn Lee, Executive Director of the Manufacturing Institute—a division of the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) will speak on reaching students and training them to become valuable employees of manufacturing industry. Josh Davies, author of Bring Your A Game to Work, plans to speak on companies creating a culture of ethics and accountability. Dorothy Rothrock, President of California Manufacturers & Technology Association, is a returning speaker who will lead a panel discussion on recent regulatory and legislative updates.

Additional Breakout Sessions will discuss topics including exports, manufacturing resources, robotics, The Amazon Affect, and opportunities in additive manufacturing.

Doors open at 7:00 AM and the event ends at 2:00 PM. The event will feature a large exhibit hall for vendors and a smaller exhibit hall showcasing local manufacturers and their products. Tickets include coffee break, lunch, and all activities.

The Manufacturers’ Council of the Inland Empire (MCIE) supports and provides education on manufacturing topics to manufacturers, employees, students, and the community. The Council provides a strong, unified voice when communicating with regional, state and national entities on issues impacting the region. Programming is designed to help manufacturers find solutions for issues including: employment and training, research, regulatory compliance, import and export, and funding.
