At times, navigating the ups, downs, diagonals, and sideways in your career can feel overwhelming. Whether it’s your first job, a career change, or reintegration into the local workforce after serving in the military, it may often feel like there are more questions than answers.

But that’s where our Business & Employment Resource Center (BERC) can help. Need help polishing up that résumé? Want to research new job opportunities? Or maybe you're aiming to sharpen your skills? Whatever it is, the Moreno Valley BERC is your “go-to” place to make those career moves happen.

At the BERC, you’ll find tools like free internet access, career assessment software, and expert help with résumé preparation. We also host employment information workshops to help you stand out. Our team and the resources we offer are here to make sure you have everything you need to succeed.

Our first Regional Job Fair is just around the corner on February 27, and we have other job fairs throughout the year. Visit the BERC website at moval.org/BERC for the 2025 schedule and a wealth of information and resources. These job fairs bring together scores of local employers and provide a fantastic way for job seekers to network, attend workshops, and meet face-to-face with representatives from these hand-picked organizations.

And if you’re a veteran, the City offers specialized workshops and resources to help you smoothly and successfully find your way back into civilian employment.

If you are a local business owner or operator, don’t forget about the Hire a Veteran program. It’s a win-win that supports our local heroes and boosts your workforce, with stipends to help make hiring even easier.

The BERC is a great community-focused hub designed to help you find personal and professional success right here in our beloved City.

So I encourage you to visit the BERC website, attend a job fair, or swing by our offices to attend one of our many workshops. We are here to help!
