Fourth of July Parade and Funfest

There’s nothing quite like the Fourth of July in our beautiful City! The energy, pride, and joy of neighbors coming together to celebrate our country’s independence is like no other. And this year, we’re turning up the fun once again with a full day of festivities, capped off with the best fireworks show in the Inland Empire.

Start your day with our beloved Independence Day Parade at 9:30 a.m. on Frederick Street. It’s a hometown tradition packed with marching bands, local organizations, and plenty of MoVal spirit. Bring a chair, wave your flag, and cheer on your community.

Then, come out to the Civic Center Amphitheater for our annual Fourth of July Family FunFest! The day is packed with great food, live music, a beer garden, a Kids Zone, and nonstop entertainment all the way through our spectacular 9 p.m. fireworks show. Gates open at 3 p.m., and entry is just $4 per person. If you plan ahead, though, you can snag discounted wristbands now at the Conference & Recreation Center. Kids five and under and our military heroes (with ID) get in free. Learn more at moval.org/fourth.

And on a related note, I wanted to remind everyone that fireworks that aren’t part of an official City display are still illegal in Riverside County. So, for your safety and the safety of our residents, let’s keep it safe and legal this holiday. Leave it to the pros and enjoy the show at the FunFest. Those caught using illegal fireworks can face fines of up to $3500 or possible jail time. Citations have already been given out to violators across Moreno Valley. If you see illegal fireworks activity in your neighborhood, report it at moval.org/fireworks or call our tip line at 951.247.8700.

I look forward to celebrating with you. Bring the family, stay cool, and let’s make this Fourth of July a day to remember!
