In recognition of their outstanding contributions to the local community, Get Loaded Guns and Ammo has been honored as Grand Terrace's Business of the Month for June. This esteemed recognition highlights the business's dedication to excellence, customer service, and commitment to serving the needs of our community. Law enforcement, firearm enthusiasts and safety advocates agree Christy McGuire is very deserving of this award.

For Christy McGuire, the path to owning Get Loaded Guns and Ammo was unexpected yet deeply personal. After her brother Terry 'LT' McGuire's passing, due to Covid-19 complications in early 2021, Christy took over the helm of the newly licensed gun shop driven by a commitment to honor his legacy and a desire to educate and empower the community.

Advocating Gun Safety Amidst Terry McGuire's Legacy "I never anticipated running a gun shop," Christy reflected. "But Terry entrusted me with this responsibility, and I've embraced it wholeheartedly." At the core of their operations lies a dedication to gun safety education, offering comprehensive classes on handgun, rifle, and shotgun handling, maintenance, and responsible ownership.

Community Engagement and Sponsorships are beyond  selling firearms and ammunition. However Get Loaded Guns and Ammo is deeply rooted in community support and actively sponsors local initiatives, events and organizations fostering a sense of unity in Grand Terrace. "We're not just a gun shop; we're a part of this community. Whether it's supporting local law enforcement or hosting educational classes, we strive to make a positive impact," Christy affirmed. "We're here to serve as a resource for our neighbors, law enforcement, military, first responders, and our Veterans.”

McGuire acknowledges the challenges of running a gun shop amidst evolving regulations and public perceptions. "We navigate these waters with a focus on integrity and customer care," she explained. Despite the complexities, she remains committed to providing a welcoming environment where everyone feels empowered and informed.

Looking forward, Get Loaded aims at expanding their educational offerings, enhancing customer experiences, while providing a Constitutionally protected service and an opportunity for legal firearm ownership. "Our goal is to be a trusted hub for firearm education and community support," she concluded. With plans for new training programs and potential future expansions, Get Loaded Guns and Ammo aims to continue serving Grand Terrace with dedication and pride.

Congratulations again to Get Loaded Guns and Ammo on this prestigious honor!
