At just 17 years old, Audrey, a Senior at Grand Terrace High School, stands out as an exceptional student with a remarkable 4.0 GPA. Despite her busy schedule, Audrey has not only excelled in academics but also in sports.

From the age of 5, Audrey has displayed her passion for soccer, dedicating five years to Club soccer before a brief hiatus during the challenging COVID period. Since 2021, she has been a key player on the GTHS Varsity Soccer team while also actively participating in Club soccer for E64, AYSO's Elite team in the Inland Empire. But that's not all - Audrey is also a valuable member of both the Varsity Cross Country and Track and Field teams, specializing in the 800m and 4x400 events.

Beyond her athletic pursuits, Audrey enjoys reading, outdoor activities, music, spending time with friends, and engaging in various crafts. Her list of accomplishments is nothing short of impressive, including her recent title as League finalist for the 800M in Track and Field. As a Scholar Athlete and Principal's Honor Roll awardee since elementary school, she consistently showcases academic excellence.

Audrey draws her motivation from the verse, "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength" (Philippians 4:13). Looking ahead, she aspires to make her Senior year memorable and plans to pursue a major in Engineering at college.

Audrey expresses her gratitude for this nomination and extends heartfelt thanks to her coaches, teachers, and, most importantly, her parents, family, and friends who have supported her throughout her journey.

To commemorate Audrey's remarkable achievements, dedication, and hard work, she will receive a certificate and a gift card from the Senior Legacy Committee. We wish Audrey all the best in her future endeavors, knowing that the best is yet to come!"

A residence shows visible damage from flooding, mud and debris following severe winter storms that began Dec. 23, which brought heavy rain and debris flows to mountain and high desert communities across San Bernardino County. This week, the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors approved recovery-related fee waivers to help eligible property owners repair and rebuild as response and long-term recovery efforts continue.

Photo Caption: Crime in San Bernardino has dropped by 30 percent or more throughout the city. One reason is that there are more officers on the streets. The Police Department’s goal is to have 350 sworn officers. Current full-time staffing is reported at 295 sworn officers and 156 professional staff.
