Meet Greisy Sanchez, a 16 year old Junior at Grand Terrace High School who continues to impress both in the classroom and in athletics. With a solid 3.6 GPA, Greisy balances a demanding schedule with grace and determination, exhibiting what it truly means to be a student athlete.
Greisy has been involved in high school sports for two years and has already made a name for herself in multiple disciplines. She competes as a thrower in shot put and discus and is also a proud member of the GTHS Wrestling Team. Her commitment and work ethic have earned her recognition, including being named “Lady Titan Wrestler of the Year” and “Team Pick Lady Titan Wrestler.”
Outside of sports, Greisy enjoys learning new skills and exploring new places, always seeking to grow and experience life to the fullest. Her achievements include earning a spot on the Principal’s Honor Roll, a testament to her dedication both on and off the field.
When asked about her biggest influence, Greisy credits her mom for shaping her into the strong, driven young woman she is today. “The biggest influence in my life has been my mom,” she shared. “She always tries her best to support me in everything I want to do. She has taught me to always be strong, and that I can accomplish everything I put my mind to. Also, all my coaches are always there for me whenever I need advice, they’re ready to help.”
Looking ahead, Greisy plans to attend college and major in Athletic Training, with the goal of helping fellow athletes reach their potential—just as her mentors have helped her.
A quote that inspires her journey is: “The future belongs to the competent. Get good, get better, be the best version of yourself.” – Brian Tracy
