Kenzy Jane Eden, a 17 year old Senior at Grand Terrace High School, is the definition of a well rounded student athlete. With an impressive 3.6 GPA, Kenzy balances academics and athletics with grace, showing just how far dedication and passion can take you.

Kenzy’s journey in sports began back in kindergarten. Over the years, she’s taken part in a variety of activities that went from soccer and volleyball to hiking and kayaking, which she still enjoys weekly. Her love for sports has led her to remarkable opportunities, including participating in summer training camps and dorm stays at UCLA, where she trained under Coach Mikey from UCLA and Coach Blue from Cal State Northridge.

At GTHS, Kenzy has been a committed Lady Titan of the athletics program throughout all four years. She shines as a thrower in Shot Put and Discus on the Track and Field team and as a Setter on the Volleyball team. Her determination and competitive spirit have brought her several accolades, including multiple first-place wins at track meets.

One of her standout achievements came during last year’s League Finals, where Kenzy threw an incredible 113 feet in Discus, securing 1st place. Even more impressive, she broke the GTHS school record this year in Shot Put with a throw of 33 feet during a meet against Jurupa Hills High School, surpassing the previous record of 32 feet.

In addition to her athleticism, Kenzy is known for her adventurous spirit and positive energy. She enjoys traveling, snorkeling, spending time at the ocean, hanging out with family and friends, and taking her dog Hunter on walks.

When asked about the biggest influence in her life, Kenzy didn’t hesitate to share: "The biggest influence in my life is Coach Longsworth. He's always been there for me, through anything. He gives me his time and support without asking for anything in return. He's the only man who has truly shown up for me. At meets, he's like my lucky charm and without him, I don’t feel like I throw my best. His support is endearing. Genuine people don’t come around often, and I’m so blessed to have a coach like him."

Looking ahead, Kenzy plans to attend college and continue her athletic journey as a Thrower at the university level. She also aspires to become a family law attorney, driven by a desire to give back and help families navigate challenging times. "Assisting people through tough times, like divorce or custody battles, protecting their rights, and helping them build a more stable and successful future…one family at a time," she shares.

Kenzy lives by the quote: “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.”

And she leaves readers with a powerful message: "Take chances in life and live. Get out there and make a difference. Stop living in people’s shadows and be your own person! This life is short, we’re young. The world’s our oyster and it’s ours to make ourselves happy. With God first, anything’s possible!"

We’ve had the pleasure of watching Kenzy grow throughout her time at GTHS, and her journey has been nothing short of inspiring. With her talent, drive, and strong support system, the future looks incredibly bright for her. We know this Lady Titan will continue to shine both on and off the field and we can’t wait to see all that she accomplishes next. The best is yet to come for Kenzy!
