At just 19 years old, Samyah Green is already making her mark both in the classroom and on the court. The Grand Terrace High School Senior maintains a 3.5 GPA, while balancing the demands of academics, athletics, and time with family and friends.

Samyah began her athletic journey during her Freshman year and quickly found her place on the basketball court. Over the past four years, she has been a dedicated member of the GTHS Basketball Program, continuing to develop her skills and contribute to her team. In addition to basketball, Samyah has also competed in Track and Field and occasionally participated in Powder Puff football.

Most recently, she helped lead her Powder Puff team all the way to victory, earning the championship trophy after an exciting season of competition. She was the Powder Puff MVP.

Throughout her high school career, Samyah’s hard work has not gone unnoticed. She has consistently earned Honor Roll recognition while also being named MVP during several of her basketball games.

Outside of sports, Samyah enjoys shopping and spending quality time with her mom and family, who continue to be a strong source of motivation and support in her life.

When asked who inspires her the most, Samyah immediately mentioned her mom and shared, “The biggest influence in my life is my mom. She shaped my journey in so many ways. She provides for me and my siblings and is my biggest supporter.”

Looking ahead, Samyah plans to attend college where she hopes to continue playing basketball while studying criminal justice. Her long-term dream is to one day play in the WNBA.

One quote that continues to inspire her comes from Rod Wave, “Before you get one win, you gotta take a thousand losses.”

Samyah Green truly represents what it means to be a student-athlete. Her growth, determination, and commitment over the past four years have been inspiring to watch. With her dedication and strong support system behind her, there is no doubt that this Lady Titan has a bright future ahead both on and off the court. We wish Samyah all the best.
