On Wednesday, September 18,  2019, at about 12:00 pm, the San Bernardino County Human Trafficking Task Force, in a combined effort with officers from the San Bernardino Police Department's Central District Resource officers, conducted a street-level "John" operation. The operation is part of an ongoing effort through heavy presence and enforcement to suppress Human Trafficking/prostitution throughout the communities of San Bernardino County, by targeting purchasers "Johns." During the operation, an undercover officer was deployed in the area to pose as a prostitute. While in the area, the officer was approached and solicited for acts of prostitution by several male suspects, resulting in their arrests for violation of PC 647(b)- Solicitation for Prostitution.

The San Bernardino County Human Trafficking Task Force is made up of investigators from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, San Bernardino County District Attorney's Office, San Bernardino Police Department, Ontario Police Department, Redlands Police Department, California State Parole, Office of Homeland Security and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Community involvement plays an integral part in the fight against Human Trafficking, and law enforcement appreciates and encourages the assistance and information provided by the public.
