LifeStream Blood Bank is seeking caring, concerned citizens who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 to deliver life-saving blood products to local hospitals.

“Our hospitals now require LifeStream representatives to have received a COVID vaccination or to supply proof of a negative COVID test within 72 hours of visiting their facilities,” said Rick Axelrod, MD, LifeStream’s president/CEO and medical director.

“Hospital patients in life-threatening situations and their loved ones are counting on us to deliver what surgeons need to provide care and treatment,” he added. “Transporting blood products from LifeStream to medical facilities is truly a mission of mercy.”

LifeStream, a nonprofit, local blood bank, provides blood products and services to more than 80 Southern California hospitals in six counties.

Interested applicants must have a clean driving record and be vaccinated against COVID-19. For more information and to submit an application, please call 800-879-4484 ext. 458 or ext. 265.
