Throughout our country’s history, countless Americans have answered the call to serve in our armed forces, and many did not make it back.

It is our duty as Americans to honor their bravery and heroism with a ceremony befitting of a proud military community like Moreno Valley.

Join me as we pay tribute to our fallen heroes during our Virtual Memorial Day Address on Monday, May 27, at 1:30 p.m.

We will broadcast our Virtual Memorial Day Address on the City of Moreno Valley’s YouTube page, the City’s Facebook page, and MV3.

As a City, as a community, and as individuals, we will take pause to commemorate those who died fighting for something greater than themselves—to commit to the preservation of the freedom and liberty we hold dear.

We will also pay tribute to local Moreno Valley heroes who made that ultimate sacrifice.

Moreno Valley has a proud military history. We are home to March Air Reserve Base, and countless veterans continue to live and work in our City. Our way of life has been shaped and made possible by those who have served—and more significantly, by those we have lost. It is those brave heroes we remember on that day.

The names of our residents who have made that ultimate sacrifice are inscribed and preserved upon our beautiful Veterans Memorial. Please visit the memorial - today or any day - to pay your respects and reflect on their sacrifices.

I look forward to having you join us for the Virtual Memorial Day Address on the 27th.
