Mayor and Council Candidate Forum at San Bernardino Valley College

San Bernardino Valley College, in partnership with the League of Women Voters, San Bernardino Area, announces a nonpartisan candidate forum scheduled for April 29 and April 30.

Valley College supports civic engagement and voter education by hosting this nonpartisan candidate forum in partnership with the League of Women Voters.

Date: April 29 & 30

Time: 5:00 PM - 7:30 PM

Location: San Bernardino Valley College, Greek Theater

Candidates for the following wards:

- Ward 1 (April 29)

- Ward 2 (April 29)

- Ward 4 (April 30)

- Mayor (April 30)

“This event provides voters with the opportunity to compare candidates’ positions on critical issues within their ward and/or city, empowering them to make informed decisions before the upcoming June 2, 2026, primary election,” said Professor Twillea Evans-Carthen, Board Member of the League of Women Voters.

The forum is part of a broader effort to engage the community and ensure that voters have access to the information they need to participate in the democratic process.

The last day to register to vote for the June 2, 2026, primary election is May 18, 2026.

“We encourage all eligible voters to attend the forum and exercise their right to vote,” Professor Kathryn Ervin, League of Women Voters San Bernardino President.

Since 1961, the League of Women Voters San Bernardino has promoted informed and active participation in government, enhanced understanding of key public policy issues, and influenced public policy through education and advocacy. The LWVSB Education Fund is a nonpartisan 501(c) (3) similar to its state and national chapters.

The League of Women Voters San Bernardino's work does not involve collaborating with political parties or candidates for office, except for nonpartisan voter service activities, and it cannot influence election outcomes.
