Mayor's Message: A Thanksgiving Message

By Dr. Yxstian Gutierrez
Mayor of Moreno Valley
11/23/2022 at 03:25 PM

Dear Moreno Valley Residents,

Thanksgiving is here, and families across Moreno Valley are coming together and spending quality time over delicious homemade meals.

Growing up in Moreno Valley, I have many happy memories of spending Thanksgiving surrounded by family, friends, and loved ones. It’s really one of the best times of the year.

As your mayor, I have much to be thankful for this season.

I’m thankful for our volunteers, who spent Saturdays helping beautify our community during the quarterly Beautify MoVal Community Days of Service. Thanks to you, our parks are more beautiful than ever before.

I’m also thankful for our community nonprofits who work hard to help the less fortunate in our City. Together, we’ve distributed clothing and food to many Moreno Valley families in need this year.

I’m thankful for our City Staff, who tirelessly work to provide exceptional customer service to our residents. This past year, our City employees have worked to rehabilitate our roads, maintain our parks, and provide fantastic events that have brought thousands of Moreno Valley residents together.

But most of all, I am thankful for you, the residents of Moreno Valley. Thank you for making Moreno Valley such an incredible place to live. You’re the reason why we’re the jewel of the Inland Empire.

From all of us at the City of Moreno Valley, Happy Thanksgiving!
