Mayor's Message: Blossom Into the Spring Season With Exciting Events

Dear Moreno Valley Residents,

It may not seem like it due to the recent cold weather, but spring is around the corner in Moreno Valley. As the poppies bloom on Box Springs Mountain, our city will come alive with exciting spring events for all our families.

Our community favorite Springtastic event will return to Sunnymead Park on Saturday, April 1, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Springtastic will feature family-friendly games, a fun zone for kids, local food vendors, and a special egg hunt for your little ones. It’s an event you won’t want to miss!

This year, we’ll also have a fun Spring event for grown-ups. Our first-ever Adult Flashlight Egg Scramble will be on Saturday, April 1, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Lasselle Sports Park.

This 18-and-over event will feature a live DJ, great food, and exciting prizes. We’ll be turning off the lights and hiding thousands of eggs all over the park for a chance to win gaming systems, an HDTV, and more. The egg hunt will happen in the dark, so bring your flashlight!

Finally, our Teen SPOT at the Conference & Recreation Center has an exciting event for kids ages 11-17. The Glowing Crazy Egg Hunt on Friday, April 14 will feature a glow-in-the-dark egg-stravaganza with a chance to win some seriously cool prizes.

With these events, we transition to warmer days and blossom into the spring season! Learn more at moval.org/parks.
