Moreno Valley is shifting into high gear when it comes to innovation and performance. The City was recognized as a Notable Fleet at the 2025 Government Fleet Expo & Conference in Charlotte, North Carolina. One of only a select few agencies nationwide to earn the distinction.

“Moreno Valley’s fleet team doesn’t just keep our City running, they keep it thriving,” said Mayor Ulises Cabrera. “This recognition highlights our commitment to the road ahead, with an unwavering focus on strategies that promote sustainability and responsible growth.”

The awards program, produced in partnership with the American Public Works Association and sponsored by Ford Pro, celebrates the top operations in the nation based on leadership, efficiency, vision, and community impact. While only 50 fleets made the official “Leading Fleets” list, the City was one of just a handful highlighted as an honorable mention, thanks to its outstanding performance in planning, innovation, and overcoming challenges.

The City’s fleet management team has focused on optimizing operations, tracking data-driven metrics, and preparing for a sustainable future. From preventative maintenance strategies to smart vehicle replacement plans, the team is committed to delivering reliable service that benefits both residents and City departments.

With recognition on a national stage, the City of Moreno Valley proves that excellence isn’t just a destination, it’s part of the journey.
