Competing against cities worldwide, Moreno Valley earned three Gold Awards, a Silver Award, and a Bronze Award, underscoring its dedication to economic growth and innovation.

"We are honored to be recognized by the IEDC for our hard work and commitment to improving the lives of our residents," said Mayor Ulises Cabrera. "These awards reflect the spirit of Moreno Valley — a City that never stops innovating, growing, and striving to provide opportunities for everyone."

The City’s three Gold Awards were awarded to the Moreno Valley Business & Employment Resource Center (BERC) in the Business Retention & Expansion category; the Courtyards at Cottonwood project in the Economic Equity & Inclusion category; and Elevate Moval in the Postsecondary Education Partnership category. The Moreno Valley Veterans Initiative earned a Silver Award in the Regional or Cross-Border Partnership category, and Destination MoVal was honored with a Bronze Award for excellence in Print Brochure design.

The IEDC Excellence in Economic Development Awards celebrate transformative projects and initiatives that positively impact communities.
