New Evidence Locker for Sub Station

We are thrilled to share an exciting update on the Grand Terrace Substation Project. Recently, Ed Giroux of GT Cars and Coffee connected with the Soso Family in Colton, who generously offered to donate a large custom-made gun safe to the Sheriff's Station.

Upon receiving photos from Ed, Sergeant Addy promptly submitted them through the chain of command for review. Delighted with what they saw, the authorities approved the safe to serve as the new Evidence Storage Locker at the Grand Terrace Sheriff Station.

John Alonzo from Grand Terrace Cars & Coffee also played a crucial role by arranging the safe's transportation. With the assistance of his colleague Justin Cherpin and volunteers Brady and Tanner Turzer, they skillfully loaded the approximately 1,000-pound safe onto a low-level trailer using an electronic pallet jack. This cooperative effort ensured the safe's safe and efficient transport from the Soso Family's home in Colton to its new home at the Sheriff Substation.

In gratitude for their generosity, Connie and her family received a heartfelt thank-you card and a gift card from the project team.

This significant contribution brings us closer to realizing the vision of transforming the GT Substation into a full-fledged Sheriff Station for Grand Terrace. As we continue to progress, we are exploring further opportunities, including sourcing donations for additional lockers. Perhaps Sheriff Dicus can allocate some budget towards this cause.

We are immensely grateful for the community's support and collaboration on this initiative. Special thanks to Ed Giroux for his dedication and coordination with Connie and the Soso Family, which made this donation possible.

Stay tuned for more updates as we move forward with this exciting development.
